Hello Everyone!!

We are rapidly approaching the end of 2009. Can you believe?? What a roller coaster year! Lots of things that shattered our thinking about the things that we all thought could never happened, but they did eg. like GM & Chrysler declaring bankruptcy, bailouts of some of the largest financial institutions, the loss of several large brokerage houses, the stock market losing almost 8000 points, house prices dropping by as much as 15 to 20 percent, the influx of short sales and home foreclosures that continue to drive down home values, all leading to a huge reduction in our networth. All this coupled with our jobless rate hovering at 10.2%. So where are we today? Well the stock market is at around 10500 what a rebound from the lows 6000, interest rates are at records lows around 4.75 - 5 percent, housing affordablilty index is up significantly, looks like we have some stability in our financial markets, and generally we have seen some nice growth in consumer confidence, and I think we have gotten to the realization that what was is was and what is is is, and that we are all pioneers again on a journey in a new world economy. Hey who wanted all this change in less then a year? Not me that's for sure! It's here to stay! Who would have thought the saying The Good Old Days would mean 2008! Put your seat belt on we are in for a real ride over the next several years. There are still things that we need to carry with us on this ride, like our family values and the need for food and shelter, and even that has changed. Someone once said that the only constant is change...that was an understatement, and you know how well we all love to make change and how flexible we all tend to be when it comes to change. Well we do need a place to call home, and like all the retailers out there and anyone who has anything to sell there are some very good deals to be had from now and until the end of the year and housing is no exception!!
